Boys basketball: Woodland 49, R.A. Long 46

Isaac Hall had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds as the Beavers won the 2A GSHL opener in Longview.

Isaiah Flanagan scored a game-high 19 points for the Beavers (6-3 overall).

R.A. Long got within two points inside of two minutes to play, and Woodland made key free throws to help ice the game. The Lumberjacks had the final possession with 1.7 seconds to play, but turned the ball over.

Cavin Holden scored 18 points on six 3-pointers to lead the Lumberjacks, and Cameron Holden scored 16 points.
