State health officials have suspended a Vancouver massage therapist’s credentials, pending further legal action, after he allegedly inappropriately touched five female clients.

Raymond Alan Knutson’s alleged misconduct occurred during massage treatments between 2015 and August 2019.

Among the allegations, he’s accused of commenting on a client’s appearance in a sexual manner and rubbing against another client for sexual gratification. He also allegedly engaged in improper draping, according to the state Department of Health.

The state issued Knutson’s credentials in November 2012.

He cannot practice massage in Washington until the charges, which include unprofessional conduct and sexual misconduct, are resolved. Knutson has 20 days to request a hearing to contest the charges, the Health Department said.
