I found it pretty amusing that C-Tran is painting bus exteriors with feel-good images of Clark County towns and villages that have almost nonexistent bus service. It’s probably time for new leadership at C-Tran that understands what a transit system should do, and for new leadership at the county and city levels that can leverage transit to help alleviate some of our traffic problems. Long buses that only serve narrow corridors are not helping cut congestion. How about running feeder routes to move people to corridors, and quit pretending that fares have to pay a significant portion of operating costs?
