Letter: Time to split from Herrera Beutler

Breaking up is hard to do, but that’s what we have to do, Jaime.

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, has a new love; someone to whom she has pledged her loyalty. But her new love is an angry, abusive, hateful liar who is happy to destroy the environment to enrich himself, the wealthy and corporations. She has turned her back on Southwest Washington and drank the GOP Kool-Aid. Her new love cares not about the people, but protecting his own name and demanding that anyone entering the White House kiss his ring.

We tried to break up last year. But she promised that she’d do better, that she would vote to protect us, not GOP special interests. Yes, breaking up is hard, but remember everyone else he attacks and belittles when they don’t bend the knee.

Sorry to say, Jaime, your new guy will eventually turn on you too. But that’s the price you pay when you put your party before country.
