Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks brass, woodwind and percussion players, active or retired. All abilities welcome; no audition required. The volunteer community band, along with its polka band, Dixieland Jazz Band and chamber ensembles, performs regularly around the area. Mosaic Arts Alliance seeks submissions for “Celebration of the Female Form,” Feb. 4-28 at Angst Gallery, 1015 Main St., Vancouver, with an opening reception 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 7. The show will include depictions and interpretations of the female form clothed, unclothed, realistic or abstract in various media. Artists may submit up to two pieces by Feb. 2. Magenta Theater seeks actors to audition for Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.” Auditions for 20 roles and understudies, ages 18 and older, are at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at the theater, 1108 Main St., Vancouver. Performances are April 10-25. Headshots are required, theater resumes are preferred. No appointments are necessary. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
