Letter: Immigration angers reader

I often find I get upset, even angry, upon reading my paper. Case in point, the fawning articles and editorials The Columbian printed about illegal border-crosser Mr. Ramon Flores (“Forced to leave / Clinging Together,” The Columbian, Dec. 22).

Who does this guy think he is? First he sneaks in this country illegally, then remains here illegally for 20 years, working illegally, and who knows what else he did. He was legitimately deported. The article claims he paid taxes. The roughly $1 million cost to educate his seven kids from K-12 was covered by taxpayers. He paid far less. We are supposed to feel sorry for this guy? I feel more sorry for the taxpayers.
