WASHOUGAL — Three Washougal High School students were selected to participate in Washington Music Educators Association All State Choirs, which will perform Feb. 14-16 at the Yakima Convention Center. Taylor Vincent, a WHS junior, will join the Treble Choir; and Courtney Dillman, senior, and Jayden Ross, junior, will join the Symphonic Choir. To be considered for the event, each student submitted voice recordings of themselves singing scales and songs. They join up to 300 other Washington students at the conference. “It is just exciting to know our kids are performing at a level where they are qualifying for All State,” WHS choir teacher Jeremy Trotten said in a news release. “It has been a few years since Washougal choirs were represented in this event. I can’t wait for our students to work with this year’s guest conductor, and to be able to share with the rest of our program all that they learn and experience. These are three very deserving students for their talent and all they do for the WHS choral department.”
