Girls basketball: Columbia River 54, Hockinson 38

Jordan Ryan scored 17 points and Sydney Flores-Tucker added 13 as River kept pace with first-place Washougal.

The Chieftains, which have already clinched a district berth, improved to 8-1 in the 2A Greater St. Helens League, one game behind first-place Washougal. The two teams meet next Wednesday at River.

Ellie Ritter led Hockinson with 11 points and Abby Willette added 10.
