Letter: Rude Republicans

By Paul Presler, Vancouver
Published: January 29, 2020, 6:00am

I have been watching the impeachment trial on TV, and the Senate set forth a provision of rules; so why is it that Senate Republicans are breaking these rules and nothing has been acted toward this?

They are getting up and walking out while the Democrats are speaking, playing with toys and playing with their phones and watch phones, and eating snacks when they are supposed to be listening to testimony in this trial. They are just as rude and defiant as their so-called king and don’t care about rules. If any of the Democrats were to do any of what they are doing right now, they would practically be imprisoned. The Republicans disgust me in their behavior!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
