The 25 new COVID-19 cases confirmed Wednesday morning by Clark County Public Health are the county’s lowest daily case report since July 2 when 18 new infections were reported.

No new deaths were confirmed Wednesday.

Clark County now has 1,344 confirmed cases and 33 deaths.

There were 106 confirmed cases Monday and 47 Tuesday. Over the last two weeks, the county has been averaging close to 36 new cases per day.

Clark County’s rate of newly diagnosed cases per 100,000 population is up to 58.1, more than double the state’s goal for Phase 3 entry.

On Tuesday, Gov. Jay Inslee announced that all Washington counties will be prohibited from moving into new phases until at least July 28, because of rising infection rates across the state.

According to Public Health data, the county has 29 confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations; nine people under investigation for the virus and are awaiting test results.

About 6 percent of the county’s hospital beds are occupied by COVID-19 cases.

Washington has 42,304 confirmed cases and 1,404 deaths.

According to state Department of Health data from Monday, there were 353 patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in Washington at that time. There were 55 patients on ventilators.
