Union High student Jade Gruher places tied for fourth an elite junior golf tournament in California

Union High School student Jade Gruher placed tied for fourth in the Future Champions Junior Golf Callaway World Championship Wednesday in Temecula, Calif.

Gruher, who completed her freshman year at Union last month, shot a 2-over-par 74 on Wednesday at Temecula Creek Golf Course to finish 5-over-par for the tournament.

Gruher, 15, shot 74-73-74 for three rounds of the tournament, which features some of the top junior girls golfers on the West Coast.

Ellie Bushnell of Granite Bay, Calif., won the tournament with an even-par 216.
