Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a July 1 assault and armed robbery in the First Place neighborhood.

Two men approached a 60-year-old man who was walking at about 6:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Northeast 145th Avenue. One of the suspects produced a knife and demanded items of value from the victim. The victim tried to run away, but the suspects chased him until he fell, “and by physical force and threat of harm, stole his property,” according to a police department news release.

The suspects are described as being in their 20s and standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with thin builds, police said.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspects and their vehicle.

Anyone with information on the suspects should call the Vancouver Police Department Tip Line at 360-487-7399.
