Letter: Where is defense against attack?

The most often repeated reason offered to resist further restrictions on assault rifles is that citizenry must be prepared to repulse a lawless federal government armed attack.

Just such an attack is happening in Portland. As the First Amendment is being shredded by federal thugs, these self-proclaimed defenders of the Constitution are derelict by their inaction. They have forfeited any right to possess assault weapons.
