Letter: Wake up and vote

Wake up, America! What’s happening right now in Portland looks very much like something that happened in the mid-1930s in Berlin and many other German cities.

Federal troops grabbing peaceful citizens off the street, spiriting them away in unmarked vans? Federal troops firing off “harmless” rounds of munitions powerful enough to cause a skull fracture? Federal troops gassing a peaceful U.S. Navy veteran and then beating him with a baton so badly that now he must have surgery to repair his broken bones?

Is this the way President Donald J. Trump administers his solutions to make America Great Again?

Wake up, America. There’s an election coming up on Nov. 3 that desperately requires your participation. It could just be the last time you’ll ever get that chance.
