The Vancouver Tennis Center announced it will have a limited reopening at 8 a.m. Monday.

VTC had projected an early July reopening, but felt its staff was ahead of schedule to start a first step of opening the nine indoor and four outdoor tennis courts at the facility located at 5300 E. 18th St., next to Fort Vancouver High School.

In this first step, VTC will take reservations online, via app, or by phone for singles and doubles play, and offer private lessons for groups of no more than five. Registration for summer camps and other programs are estimated to begin July 6.

Those playing at VTC will be required a temperature check, and wear face coverings at all times except while on court. A complete list of the new requirements are posted online at pnwtenniscenters.com/vtc-limited-reopening/.

Evergreen Tennis in Camas and Club Green Meadows reopened this past week. All tennis facilities around the area had been closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
