Washougal police say woman died of stab wounds

The Washougal Police Department has identified the victim of a suspicious June 14 death as 71-year-old Sandra Ladd.

Emergency responders found Ladd, of Washougal, dead shortly after 4:30 p.m. in her home in the 1900 block of 41st Street.

The Clark County medical examiner determined that Ladd died of stab wounds to the torso, according to the police department. The medical examiner listed her manner of death as homicide.

No arrests have been made, but investigators said there is no danger to the public at this time.

Washougal police and the Clark County Major Crimes Unit are actively investigating and do not plan to release further details, the police department said.
