Camas High grad Daniel Snoey’s run at the Oregon Amateur Championships came to an end Friday morning in a 2 and 1 loss to 13th seed Bryce Wortman of Creswell, Ore.

Snoey, seeded 21st, never had a lead in his match at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland but was even for 10 of the 17 holes played. It was all square going to the 16th hole.

Wortman would go on to advance to Saturday’s 36-hole championship match where he will play Ben Wanichek of Eugene, Ore.

In the Senior Women’s Am, Vancouver’s Wendy Sheasgreen lost to top seed Ginny Burkey of Eugene, 2 and 1 in the quarterfinals. Camas’ Katy Wright won her quarterfinal match 3 and 1 over Leilani Norman of Eugene.

In the semifinals, Wright lost 1-up to top-seeded Burkey.
