Letter: Help out local restaurants

The recent closings of some area restaurants is sad news for our community. At this time, as with all businesses, the ones that will be able to stay open will rely on us going in to dine again, or to keep ordering to-go.

The restaurant business employs over 10 percent of the nation, and that does not include all of the suppliers from meat companies, to beer companies, to paper goods or to produce suppliers. So as we look forward to the opening up again of the local bar or the local cafe or restaurant, make an effort to give them your patronage. A special thanks as well to all of our restaurants and cafes that stepped up and provided food to the local heroes and essential workers at this time. As someone has said, we all get better when we help each other.
