I am a small-business owner in Vancouver and my question for our city and county leaders is this: Why aren’t we promoting Southwest Washington as an alternative to Seattle or Portland for businesses to relocate?
We have so much to offer considering favorable tax rates, space and proximity to major airports and ports. It pains me to hear that a major company is moving their headquarters from Seattle to Phoenix. Did we even try and offer our city as an alternative? All I see here is new retirement homes and storage units. Where are the major employers?
