Letter: Trump lacks leadership

By Stephen Duncan, Vancouver
Published: March 11, 2020, 6:00am

When first faced with an international health crisis that has penetrated the United States of America, President Trump faced the press (and us), then commenced to be evasive while contradicting health experts.

With all the conviction, fortitude and leadership of a wet noodle, the best he could do was his usual, “We’ll see what happens.” What a pitiful demonstration of leadership when the country and world are desperate for guidance. His administration (he being at its head) further led HHS in a botched process of transporting and processing of U.S. citizens exposed to the coronavirus. Though many may agree with his policies and ignore his lack of social development, how can you not be concerned by his inept grasp of the concept of leadership? His and his administration’s handling of this crisis may be a window into his diminished capacities.
