The Society of Washington Artists seeks artists 18 and older to enter the nonjuried, professionally judged Spring Show and Sale (the largest such show in Southwest Washington), April 30 to May 3 at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver. Online registration continues until April 17 or until 200 pieces have been registered. Both 2D and 3D items may be entered. Washougal Arts & Culture Alliance seeks vendor artists for the Washougal Art Festival, Aug. 8 at Reflection Plaza in Washougal. The festival is open to visual artists working in all media and is intended for professional artists who are actively producing and exhibiting their work to sell. Entries will be juried on originality, creativity, craftsmanship and professionalism. Artists are selected by a jury of local artists and gallery owners. The deadline to apply is May 1. Battle Ground Parks & Recreation seeks artists and craftspeople to show and sell their work at the Spring Community Craft Fair, April 4 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Battle Ground Arts Alliance seeks artists 18 and older to submit work for its professionally judged show, “Spirit,” March 21-22 at the Battle Ground Community Center. There will be an artists’ reception from 5 to 7:30 p.m. March 21 and awards presentation from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Artists may enter up to three pieces of original art, with a fee of $35 for the first piece, and $5 for each additional entry. Entries will be accepted from 4 to 7 p.m. March 19 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground. The arts alliance will retain 25 percent of the selling price. Writing

Oregon Christian Writers seeks writers to enter the Cascade Writing Contest. Entries can be received through March 15. Each entry will be reviewed by three preliminary judges with feedback provided to every contestant. The final three in each category will be submitted to Christian writing and publishing professionals for judging. Winners will be announced at the Cascade Writing Contest Awards at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Portland’s Red Lion on the River Hotel. You do not need to be an Oregon Christian Writers member to enter. Clark College is holding open auditions for all voices for its three choirs. Rehearsals begin the week of April 6 in Beacock Music Hall on the campus of Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Clark College Chorale rehearses Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:50 p.m. Treble Ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 2:20 p.m. Concert Choir rehearses Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 to 11:50 a.m. Audition requirements include a song of your choice, vocal exercises and sight reading.
