On March 6, there was another tragic fatality accident on Highway 503 (“3 die in Brush Prairie crash,” The Columbian, March 7). Three people, including a 5-year-old child, were killed. Why were jersey barriers not placed on this road? This heavily traveled highway is essentially a four-lane freeway, yet it has no divider to protect drivers. I pray for the families of this tragic and preventable tragedy.
