Prairie student serves as page

The Columbian

BRUSH PRAIRIE — Prairie High School student Carley Postma recently served as a page at the Washington State House of Representatives in Olympia. Postma, the child of Jana and Rob Postma, was sponsored by Rep. Sharon Wylie, D-Vancouver. Pages have a variety of responsibilities during the program, including distributing amendments on the House floor and presenting flags. They also support operation of the Legislature, receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hearings.
