OGDEN — Living Hope Church got creative when they needed to obey social distancing guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their solution, to avoid canceling worship services entirely, was to hold drive-in worship services. Similar to a set up of a drive-in movie theater, churchgoers pulled up in their vehicles and tuned to 102.7 FM to listen to the pastors preach and play music on a stage in front of the church building. “(March 17) was our first one, and it was so amazing. People pulled in and were able to watch the service from their cars and listen by turning to 102.7 FM. They responded by raising their hands, honking their horns, and flashing their lights,” Stephanie Anderson, communications coordinator, said in a news release. Originally, the church was hoping to the drive-in services multiple times a week, but decided to cancel when Gov. Jay Inslee issued the “Stay Home — Stay Healthy” order.
