Vancouver police responded to a shooting late Tuesday night in the Bagley Downs neighborhood. No one was injured.

Around 11:35 p.m., an officer was traveling south on Northeast Andresen Road near Vancouver Mall Drive when he saw a northbound car speeding and stopped it. The driver said someone had shot at him and his passenger, and they were trying to get away, police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email.

Meanwhile, other officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the 3000 block of Falk Road. Police found shell casings in the area, Kapp said.

The driver and passenger refused to provide any suspect information or what may have precipitated the shooting, Kapp said.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
