Responders are at the scene of a residential fire just outside of the Vancouver city limits near Highway 99.

Clark County Fire District 6 crews were dispatched at 3:45 p.m. to 6115 N.E. 22nd Court.

Firefighters could see a column of smoke from Highway 99 as they were responding. Arriving crews found a house on fire, with flames appearing to come through the roof, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Crews used at least two waterlines to get the fire under control in 28 minutes, according to the radio traffic.

The Clark County Fire Marshal has been requested to investigate.
