Letter: Take care of essential workers

So many people out of work during this difficult time are able to collect unemployment insurance plus a $600-a-week supplement. I hope that the Senate takes serious consideration of the House bill that includes hazard pay for essential workers, many of whom work at, or close to minimum wage, not even earning $600 a week. Being “essential,” they have no choice but to keep working, when others are able to stay safe at home.
