Letter: Rep. Vick is on right track

During this pandemic, extreme political sides are the only ones we hear. People in the center of the political spectrum are left shaking our heads as the outsides squawk. The more I think about it, my whole life it has been like this.

I mostly agree with Gov. Inslee’s handling of this pandemic. However, if you’re someone that disagrees, then the lawsuit by Rep. Brandon Vick is the safe way to protest the governor’s orders. Other representatives like Vicki Kraft idiotically took to the streets in defiance. Rather than defy medical, scientific and expert advice, Vick filed a lawsuit. I’m just a big, dumb animal, but I believe that is what our state House and Senate are partly for: oversight.

Many of us may disagree with what Rep. Vick is trying to accomplish, but to imply that he doesn’t care about the vulnerable people in our community is disingenuous. I do not live in Rep. Vick’s district and, honestly, probably wouldn’t vote for him. If I’m to be represented by someone who differs from me politically, I’d wish for it to be of his ilk.
