Letter: Vote in person if you are able

If you feel safe and are able, why not vote in person?

Voting by mail has been an excellent resource to Washingtonians since 2005, and has become highly beneficial during these trying times. However, this election is critical, and personally, I don’t want to leave anything to chance.

During the primary in March, I voted confidently by mail. However, my ballot was returned to me afterward stating my signatures did not match, and that I had to resend my ballot with the correct signature by the due date or my vote would not count.

Although incidents like this are minor, they can carry long-lasting effects. If you feel safe, and are available to vote in person today, my advice is to mask-up and head over to the Clark County Elections Office in downtown Vancouver between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
