Interstate 205 south was closed earlier Monday near the Interstate 5 split — milepost 37.1 — for an investigation of police activity, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The freeway has reopened.
Law enforcement were following up on a police chase involving a motorhome about 12:30 p.m., according to police radio traffic monitored in the newsroom. The chase ended in Salmon Creek.
Traffic quickly backed up onto I-5, stretching as far north as the 179th Street Exit near the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds. By 2:30 p.m. traffic and the investigation had cleared.
