Letter: Trump misses opportunity

For those citizens who voted for Trump because he would be more effective running the country by using his skills in business, as you must concede, his business experience has failed him in this election transition.

As a proponent of business methods over governing a country, you must know that when a new order comes in to take over the helm at a business, regardless of the reason, the departing CEO has a small window to maintain control of his/her message to protect their legacy by making an announcement headlining their graceful handoff of power. Additionally, a good business man must do so to assure the hard-earned image of the business success.

If they do not take advantage of this small window of opportunity, it is gone. They are sitting aside as an observer, no longer a participant. The “concession message” is for their benefit, it is not required. In this case, if Mr. Trump relies on his business expertise, he knows that the window has passed. Leadership is in the hands of those experienced in the proper use of power, rather than someone who never really led an effective business model.
