PORTLAND — The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday evening crash that killed two and injured one on a Northeast Portland road.
Deputies have not yet publicly identified those who died. But they said around 5:30 p.m., a 1999 Saab was driving west on Northeast Marine Drive when it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a Chevrolet Suburban.
The driver and passenger of the Saab were ejected from the car and died at the scene. There were three people in the Suburban, all of whom were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say there may have been witnesses who did not speak with police, and asked anyone with information or who saw the crash to contact them at 503-988-0560.
Marine was closed between Northeast Interlachen Lane and Blue Lake Road.
