Letter: Truly make America great again

When President Trump spoke from the hospital, he said he wants to get well and get back to making America great again. A fine idea, and here are some suggestions that might be helpful to reach that goal.

Let’s start by being kind to others, and then let’s take care of the poor, the ill and those who have lost their jobs during this time. Let’s embrace our differences and learn from others. Let’s work with other countries to find a vaccine to stop this virus so that people can return to a semblance of normal life.

Wouldn’t it be nice to feel safe going to a film or out with friends again? Or how about the arts? A play or a concert would be wonderful and would help support the performers. Let’s make sure everyone can get the health care they need. Let’s take care of the environment so we have something wonderful to leave our children and grandchildren.

And if we truly want to make America great again let us not forget all of the people, worldwide, who have lost their lives to this virus. So let’s all do what we can and until there is a cure: Protect yourself and others and wear a mask.
