SALMON CREEK — Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation raised more than $100,000 during its annual Salmon Creek Cares auction. The online fundraiser from Sept. 14-18 aimed to support the expansion of cancer services at the hospital. “We are so grateful for the generosity of our donors,” said J. Michael Schultz, executive director of Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation. “The event was virtual this year. But the support from our community in Vancouver and Southwest Washington was inspiring.” Funds raised will support a comprehensive cancer center on the first floor of Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, which will include genetic counseling, screening and a holistic therapy room. “We are grateful for your continued support of Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center and our expanding cancer program during these unprecedented times,” said Jon Hersen, medical center president.
