Letter: Culp unfit for governor

By Ed Wickersham, Ridgefield

Loren Culp, the Republican candidate for governor, as a police officer swore to uphold the laws of the state. He chose to not enforce a law approved by a popular vote when it didn’t support his personal views. In the Voters’ Pamphlet he provided almost no information about how he would govern or his past history.

If Culp doesn’t agree with the laws, he ignores them. His failure to provide background information in the Voters’ Pamphlet is adverse to transparent government. He has no demonstrated executive administrative experience. He does not respect the democratic process; he has violated his sworn oath to uphold the laws of the state of Washington. He is unfit to be our governor.
