CAMAS — Boutique footware store Arktana recently held a Girls Night Out Virtual Fashion Show featuring breast cancer and ovarian cancer survivors as models. The show took place at Juxtaposition on Sept. 24 and was streamed on Arktana’s Facebook page. “This wasn’t your ordinary fashion show. We were able to watch these strong women support each other, and they inspired all of us with their survival stories. Along with this, they all shared the important messages on cancer screenings and early detection. This was an evening to remember,” said Ann Matthews, the store’s owner. The event was held in collaboration with the Downtown Camas Association’s Girls Night Out Event. It helped raise money for the Pink Lemonade Project and the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
