Letter: Vote for Long for Congress

I just watched the League of Women Voters debate between Jaime Herrera Beutler and Carolyn Long.

If I had any doubts about my vote, they are gone; Long is head-and-shoulders more competent, articulate and thoughtful than Herrera Beutler.

From the I-5 Bridge issue to climate change and jobs creation, it is clear that Long has thought about the issues and formulated reasonable and practical responses to complicated issues. Jaime has just accepted the money and voted her contributors’ interests.

By the end of the debate Beutler was flailing and rearguing points already refuted; that’s the sign of a losing campaign.

I’m voting for Long and responsible change.
