Local students awarded scholarships

HAZEL DELL — The Southwest Washington Contractors Association Foundation awarded eight scholarships totaling $12,250 to local residents with a connection to the construction industry or an interest in working in construction. Recipients included: Katelynne Cox, Brienna Jeibmann, Emily Van Orden, Rachel Werbowski, Page Rakoz, Megan Collins, DeLano Morgan, Stephanie Dakin and Amber Page. “The SWCA Foundation is proud to award scholarships to qualified applicants, including those pursuing education related to the building and construction industries,” board President Alex Barrett said. “The SWCA Foundation invests in future community leaders by offering financial assistance to students through funds raised by the generous donations of members.” The awards are available to association members’ employees, children and others who are enrolling in full-time secondary education.
