FISH Westside Food Pantry of Vancouver is looking for volunteers for all positions and shifts. Shifts run from 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Flexible-hour options are also available to accommodate individual schedules. Volunteers prepackage food boxes and fresh produce packets in a secure warehouse or perform administrative processing (sign in) for food pantry clients. Interested parties may contact Dori Miller at 360-566-3243. Masks are required and will be provided if necessary.

Meals on Wheels People seeks volunteers to make calls to home-bound elderly on Thanksgiving as part of the Friendly Chats program. Volunteers will visit seniors just to chat, providing crucial face-to-face contact so important to reduce social isolation among the elderly. In addition to Thanksgiving Day Friendly Chatters, Meals on Wheels People is recruiting bilingual volunteers who would like to become regular Friendly Chatters. In addition to Spanish, Russian and Mandarin Chinese, volunteers who speak Vietnamese, Hmong, Farsi and other languages are encouraged to apply. To volunteer, go to mowp.org/volunteer.
