Letter: Unite behind Long for Congress

By Robert Connon, Vancouver
Published: October 28, 2020, 6:00am

I had an opportunity to talk privately with Carolyn Long. She is an impressive thinker. As our congressional representative, I believe she will restore “United” to USA. Carolyn Long knows that to get elected means she must propose a platform that attracts Democrats, both progressive and moderate. Further, I sense that she is intent on gaining strong support from independents and moderate Republicans. No one politician will ever completely satisfy every individual’s priorities. Once elected, she will listen to all sides to formulate legislation that endures successive elections. Carolyn can bridge the gap to the other Washington. Let’s unite behind her!
