There were big smiles and screams of excitement Saturday at the fourth annual Booville, intended this year as a pandemic-safe, drive-thru Halloween event hosted by the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

Abigail Pine, 7, was one of the delighted, excited children, lighting up as she spotted costumed characters and goodie bags. She was dressed as a kitten for the event.

“I’m really glad they’re doing something,” said Abigail’s mother, Amber Pine. “2020 has been rough.”

Event organizers expected roughly 500 children to receive treats and gifts over the course of Saturday’s two-hour event. Through the first hour, more than 300 of the 575 bags the Parks Foundation prepared were given out.
