HAZEL DELL — Amy Campbell decided to get creative during shelter-at-home orders. A special education teacher at Camas School District who lives in Hazel Dell, Campbell posted a “Chopped” cooking challenge to her personal Facebook page. The challenge? Have people cook a meal, post a picture, and she would donate $10 to Clark County Food Bank. “Chopped” is a popular food competition show on the Food Network. The challenge picked up steam, and over 16 weeks, raised more than $2,500. All together, Campbell and her mother were able to donate $3,000 to the food bank. “I feel like there are so many small ways we can build community for each other right now,” Campbell said. “As we head back to the school year, I think it is a powerful message to share: tiny steps together will move us forward. We can make changes and we can change lives.”
