Letter: Congresswoman falls short

By Steven Tubbs, Vancouver
Published: September 6, 2020, 6:00am

Jaime Herrera Beutler must go. Her promise of an alternative health plan is smoke and mirrors. With this pandemic, adequate health care is a necessity, which the Affordable Care Act addresses. She has done nothing to address climate change, or the need to take action on the impact of transportation on that key issue.  She is a puppet, ignoring the need to address our right to vote; our need for medical coverage; the condition of the planet that we will bequeath to our children. It is time to look beyond simple party labels and remove her from office. Vote for Carolyn Long.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
