Letter: Made with no shade

By Stephen Freimuth, Vancouver
Published: September 8, 2020, 6:00am

What’s up with the new waterfront downtown?

It’s a great walk down there from our home, although once you’re there, there’s absolutely no shade of any kind! No mature trees or structures to sit under. Not one of the many benches has a tree to cool oneself under for the return walk. I’ve also now seen folks with food or a picnic of sorts looking for shade, only to leave.

It’s nice, but I think y’all forgot this little matter. It’s not too late to add some mature trees, is it? Peace always, Vancouver.
