Clark County reports 35 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths

Clark County recorded 35 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths in data released Thursday by public health officials.

The new cases raises the county’s total cases to 2,853 to date. The number of deaths remains at 52, with the last death reported on Tuesday.

Clark County Public Health reported 21 cases on Wednesday and 82 cases for the four-day period between Saturday and Tuesday, for an average for those days of about 21 cases per day.

There were 21 people hospitalized in Clark County with COVID-19 and 7 hospitalized awaiting test results, according to Clark County Public Health.

The county’s number of active cases fell by two to 120. The statistic counts people with confirmed cases who are currently in their isolation period.

Confirmed cases must remain in isolation until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and symptoms have improved and at least 10 days have passed since symptoms began, according to Public Health.
