Letter: Holtz fumbles with his judgment

By Eric Bjorkman, Vancouver

During his talk at the Republican National Convention, former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz decided to chastise presidential candidate Joe Biden for not being true to his Catholic faith. Lou supports President Trump.

Wait. Say what?

That’s right. Let this sink in a bit. Notre Dame heard it right and immediately distanced themselves from his views and reprimanded him for questioning anyone’s faith. It’s obvious that Lou Holtz can’t see how ludicrous this seems to (I’d hope) most of the American public. Even if you support Trump I think that you’d be hard-pressed to justify multiple marriages and affairs during those blessed matrimonies. Or his comments about grabbing women by their privates just because he can get away with it. Or for whatever other heinous thing that he’s done in the past.

Let’s hope Lou’s God judges him more kindly than how he has smeared Joe Biden.
