Clark County is seeking five applicants for a committee that advises on farming issues.

The Clark County Farm Advisory Committee has vacancies for one-year terms in 2021. Committee members advise the county assessor on open space as well as farm, agricultural and timberland as classified under state law.

Applicants should have knowledge about crops, land quality and net cash rental assessment in order to assist the assessor’s office in determining appropriate values, according to a news release from the county.

To apply, send a letter of interest to Michelle Pfenning at the Clark County Council’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. Applicants can also send letters by email to michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.

The deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 30.
