A new clinic that treats people who are suffering from depression has opened in the Columbia Tech Center in east Vancouver.
Active Recovery TMS is located at 1499 S.E. Tech Center Place, Suite 170.
According to a news release, clinicians use a highly focused, pulsed magnetic field (similar to an MRI) to target the brain regions involved in regulating mood. Each course of treatment is approximately 20 minutes, five days a week for six weeks.
Active recovery has five other locations in the greater Portland and Salem, Ore., areas.
