Letter: Think before criticizing

By Ellen Townsen, Vancouver

Here we go again! Every 30 days we get to read about Robert Kerr’s “ranting and raving” that reflects his “misinformed, hence, uninformed” ideas of how the current administration is dealing with the catastrophic mess the previous administration dealt them (“Biden ignores consequences,” Our Readers’ Views, March 24).

Certain people believe Biden “does not care about the consequences that will affect Americans” as if the previous so-called proven pompous liar president did?! Arguing, name-calling, blaming, exaggerations and wrongful accusations are not only irresponsible and immature, but also exacerbate the current condition of low morale in our country.

I don’t like the culture of our society as it stands today either, but we need to let the appropriate people do their jobs to bring this country back to its stately state. Although it is taking time, effort and money, justice will prevail. We all have something to say, yet if it isn’t positive and/or productive, don’t say it. We would all do well with putting our minds in gear before engaging our mouths.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
