CENTRAL VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Sunrise Rotary Club is holding an ongoing food drive to benefit the Clark County Food Bank. The idea for the drive came about when Rotary members noticed a demand for food assistance due to the pandemic.
By last September, the group decided to have a food-collection day once a month, hosted by a club member. Later, it grew to include places of business, including Clark County Indoor Sports Center and Kafiex Roasters.
The next event will be at a private residence, but there will also be a collection day on May 15 at Martel Wealth Advisors.
So far, the club has collected 1,315 pounds of food.
